Deep Blue... by Isalovesphotography Deep Blue... by Isalovesphotography
And her sadness was as deep and as blue as the ocean...
AHHH, I finally did it! Oh yes, I wanted to try some drop photography since I saw the impressive drop works of :iconneaffka:.
And so, with her help, this genius tutorial: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=... and much experimenting I got a few nice shots and I think this one is the best of them... :) I know there's overexpose in this image but as I said- I like it for a first try. :) It was quite hard with focus and aperture... Almost everything that could have been a fascinating shot got blurry... :D And I didn't had to edit the colors- I set the white balance on "electric light" and the whole picture got this wonderful blue :) It was just normal water, no color in it! ^,^

Do you see it? A young sad lady, an ocean and the sky, full of stars? :star: I love the slight bokeh in the background! *.*

I think this was such a magical shooting... I am definitely going to do something like this again. I know, it's a bit mainstream. Anyway. Why is it mainstream?- Because it's magical.

Featured: Monthly Feature IIIThis is supposedly a monthly feature, but my first day of track was yesterday and .
Anyway....
Here's to the talented writer, =Panbriel!

Next is the fabulous photographer *YOWYO!

And yet another photographer, this time it's =Isalovesphotography.

Have anyone you want to see featured, even yourself? Note me! :la:
Xchange - new folder - ContestWe have created  a new folder Xchange (could not make up a better name ). The aim is to show one photo and to explain how and why it was made this way (ISO, .... ) .It would be nice if we could achieve an exchange of knowledge and experience, maybe a discussion:)
The folder is more about experimenting  with settings, filters, ...
Thanks to the charming :iconIsalovesphotography: we have our first entry

Have a look at her gallery :wow: Just some examples

We would  to have regular entries and hope to start an open discussion and exchange. Maybe you have tried something different or with unusual settings to get a special result, ... We would  to see it.
If you have ideas or criticism please get in touch, because we want to develop this group with our members.
Thanks to all members who have entered the contest  It is still open until the 25th

I knew it is a water drop and you very timely shot it as it bounced and stretched upwards giving a feeling of one solid unit. I meant that your shot is amazing and so perfect that a fluid and very short lived thing is given an enduring existence...

I've seen a lot of water drop photography, but this stands out to me! The drop seems 'sad'... like a lonely figure. The colours also are quite sad, didn't know a drop of water could say so much. Lovely interaction of light here :)

great for a first attempt its something I have tried my self but I have yet to get one I like (note to self must keep trying). From what I can see your exposure is almost perfect nothing too burnt out but something like this is trial and error and this is petty good. I've been told the tip to getting the focus right is to put a pencil into the water what your drop will hit the surface then focus one the pencil, once this is in focus switch the lens to manual focus to stop it refocusing.

I've also created images by dropping food colouring into a rectangular vase of water and photographed the result below the water line [link] sure for food colouring in water tutorial if you want to give it a try
