Timetravel by Isalovesphotography Timetravel by Isalovesphotography
Update: As always, color modification.:)
Why this title? :D Because this detail of the modern architecture of the "Haendel Halle" in my hometown reminded my to pyramids! So here's a connection between past and today. ;)
This time I was on tour with ~phoTOMgraphy :tighthug:
Edited with GIMP, converted it to black and white with a little bit of blue. :aww: Thought it could increase the surreal touch. :O
I think I got addicted to architecture photography! :D It's great to see abstract details in your daily life while going through streets and such... I learned to see cities in another way! :) But my photos aren't that great yet, but I'll practice, practice, practice! :onfire:
Hope you like it anyway.

Very good,
I see much developement.
I have a feeling it lacks some sharpness -
Maybe you didn´t focus properly or there was
some distortion over the 30 seconds or F/36 is
not an optimal aperture for your lense.

Anyways, I like it!

wow, thank you!!! i do want to develop :D
indeed, there is certainly a lack of sharpness, i guess it moved a bit while exposing... well, i'm probably going to re-shoot it :) but i liked it for the second try :)
thanks much!!!

It is not bad at all!!! If you compare it to Matthias' work there might be room for improvement, but you'll get there. I'm sure of that  :huggle:

Practice is the indeed the way to go!

You're most welcome! I'm looking forward to the next one.

Although I really love long exposure, I didn't try architecture yet although it is on my list for some time already. The one who inspired me is ~Jtjintjelaar. He's not active on dA anymore, but I think you will enjoy his gallery too.

you are right. I had forgotten how I thought about long exposure when I tried it the first few times. when you're unfamiliar with the process it does look so complicated. however, after you've done it a few times it will get a lot easier. most of all you need to be patient and take your time.

if you have a smartphone, look for an exposure calculator app (if you haven't already). they make life a lot easier.

Wow, this is really good! :) Just buy a ND filter, so 1:1 quality won't suffer from high f-number.
