Tulip

Abstract capture of a tulip's leaf.
Mummy's trying hard to get a bit of spring into our house... Well I am happy as I wait for spring too and those curvy lines of the tulips are just great for abstract captures.
So what I love in this on is the form. But well, I am kinda not satisfied. Maybe a bit darker or something, I don't know... Could anyone give me a few tips please? What would you improve?

Other Entries Easter Time But Still No SpringGood day to you my friends. Is this really my first journal since the beginning of the year?
(I know it is)
Well it has been a busy one so far which is great from a work perspective as times are still very difficult for most people. It has meant I have been finding it hard to find time for my hobby (photography) and for being on here. I keep getting behind with comments and looking at your work but I will always catch up in the end (have patience with me).
We have a lovely sunny morning here today which is a very rare thing this year. Our winter has now been dragging on for five months. We still start the day below zero which is madness considering it is April tomorrow. Ah well. I know it is the same in many countries.
Maybe we will have a good summer to make up for the late Spring.
I have been able to add a Nikon D800 to my stupidly large Nikon collection. It is second hand but in excellent condition so I hope to be playing with that soon.
